01The Discipline of HydroKnit™
HydroKnit™ begins with a proposition: the best aquatic garment is not waterproof, but water-literate. Our knit architecture is tuned to accept mist, spray, humidity, and the quiet weight of a recent swim without losing its line. Each panel is engineered for measured give, controlled recovery, and a hand that remains composed between dry and damp. The fabric does not announce its technicality. It simply behaves with unusual grace when the atmosphere changes.
02Sleeve Elimination as Design
Sleeve elimination is our most consequential act of simplification. By removing the sleeve, we remove a zone of friction: the folded cuff at the pool rail, the trapped warmth under a blazer, the indecision between movement and ceremony. The shoulder becomes a clean plane; the arm remains available to the water, the glass, the handrail, the person beside you. Omission, properly executed, is an advanced construction.
03The Water Proximity Standard
Water proximity is measured in distance, not immersion. We design for the first eighteen centimetres: spray at the launch, damp air above a wave, the cool edge of a stone step. Field reviews take place beside pools, in harbours, and along the Atlantic margin, where wind alters the hand and salt changes the light. The closer one comes to water, the more composed the garment should become.
